Before you can start with the actual project, you need to complete the below exercises first.
- Watercolour techniques. Watch the video "13 watercolour techniques" and follow the instructions.
- Watercolour glazing. Watch the video "Watercolor Glazing in an Illustration: Back to the Basics". Create your cute animal and apply the technique from the video.

In this project you will make up your own cute illustration. Imagine you are an illustrator for a children's book and you have to create an illustration for a picture book. You need to use watercolor and ink/black sharpie.

Imagine you are a freelance artist and you have been hired by a local business owner to create a watercolour painting for a store. Choose one of the three business and create a creative watercolour painting.

If you ever find yourself craving cake or freshly-baked bread, this is the place to go. Everything is reasonably priced, healthy and delicious. Sallie's Bakery and Cafe's products range from crusty buns, french baguette to delicious homemade cakes.
- Smooth Smoothies locally owned and operated by the siblings Adam and Jasmine. Both have a passion for outdoor sports and healthy eating. Adam and Jasmine are very proud to be serving nutritious juices and smoothies to the downtown Calgary community. Smooth Smoothies products range from freshly made fruit juices and smoothies to delicious fruit sorbets.
